Delete Your Account
You have the right to delete your Gibbet account and all associated data at any time. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Just need a break?
Try deactivating instead — your profile is hidden until you log back in. Reversible, only once a week.

Via the App (When Available)
Once Gibbet launches, you can delete your account directly within the app:
- Open the Gibbet app
- Go to Settings → Account
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm your identity and confirm deletion
- Your account and data will be removed within 30 days

Before App Launch — Email Request
If you pre-registered and want your data removed before the app launches:
- Send an email to privacy@gibbet.app
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include the email address and/or username you registered with
- We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and delete your data within 30 days
🗑️ What Gets Deleted
- ✗Your email address and username from the pre-registration list
- ✗Your account profile, bio, and avatar
- ✗Your posts, comments, and community activity
- ✗Your messages and chat history
- ✗Your community memberships and follow relationships
- ✗Your Purple Hearts balance and purchase history
- ✗Your notification preferences and device tokens
ℹ️ What May Remain
- ·Anonymized, aggregated analytics data (no personal identifiers)
- ·Data required to be retained by applicable law
- ·Content that other users have saved or shared (subject to platform policies)
