Checking in on the crew after a month

We're cooking up a big update This April. Text chat optimization. A big overhaul on how you post, search for things made by users, plans for an algorithm and a couple of more features we hope will add rather than take away from The Gibbet Experience. Our focus with Gibbet BETA has always been building! Creating a space new users can openly come in and spectate in its early phase. As development continues and the app forms into something bigger we will focus on growing the userbase. We're always listening to your feedback and we've already made changes to user sign in and in app music that will appear in the next update. You can continue giving great feedback by emailing us at support@gibbet.app! (The BEST way to contact us for any issues or concern) What are your thoughts on the app so far? Let's have a discussion in the comments!

Trouble Signing In?

Congrats to everyone trying out the first release on Google Play. The release fell behind schedule but it's up for anyone to use. If you are having trouble signing in try installing the app with the latest version as the app store version had a bug to prevent users from signing in. Users that downloaded the app through our website were unaffected by this. The bug is fixed now and you will soon be able to manage an account using 4 methods of signing in instead of three giving more options for security and ensuring you always have access. The next update will introduce phone verification. Which works like it should, you put your phone in, wait for a verification code and then create an account. One step and you're good to go. (It will appear in settings under Your Information and you can change it at any time). Thanks to everyone using Gibbet Support to bring this to our attention!! If you have any more questions, our contact support email will still be open 🐸 [C] Gibbet Support Email: [C] Support@gibbet.app See you later Update coming this week!

Update 1.2.0

This is the third update of our app. On with many changes. Chatroom Quality Improvements, Post Type Improvements, Refinements to Multi-Language, and more. Monday's Patch 1.1.2 added the bubble shop. Which introduced post cards, and multiple chat bubbles. This week concludes with a rolling item shop that resets daily. We've lighten the app dark tone of green. This is a more pleasant tone of green. And also the search screen shows post made by users allowing for discovery outside the community. (Post may appear on the home screen if they are made from a public community, by an account set to public.) We also change such as. Tightening on security. Added co-host feature. And "podcast mode" in call. Listen to users before you join or get invited to a voice chat. Allowing for texting before you join the call. We'll update frequently. Working around the clock. The progress of the beta of Gibbet. Take care and we'll see you in the pond! 🐸

New Update 1.1: Get from Gibbet.app

[BC]A Letter to the Pond [C]February 16, 2026 [C]•. .• We want to start by saying thank you. To everyone who downloaded Gibbet, explored the communities, tested features, and told us what worked and what didn't — you are the reason this app gets better. Every bug report, every piece of feedback, every frustrated message matters to us. We read all of it. [C]•. .• Let's be honest. Version 1.0.0 was a rough start. Core features that should have worked out of the box didn't. Chat rooms were unreliable. Posts weren't displaying properly. Wikis were losing content. Comments weren't functioning the way they should. We know that's not the experience anyone signed up for, and we take full responsibility for it. So instead of making promises, we made fixes. Version 1.1.0 is live today, and here's what we tackled. [B]Chat is stable We rebuilt how chat rooms load and handle connections. History loads faster, errors on entry have been resolved, and online member counts are now accurate. We also locked down access so only community members can enter community chat rooms — no more ghost visitors. [B] Posts display correctly The issue preventing content from showing up on home pages has been fixed. A database constraint was blocking posts from saving properly, and that's been resolved. On top of that, you can now customize how your posts look with Post Card Bubbles from the new Bubble Shop. [B] Wikis no longer lose your work The bug causing wiki content to randomly disappear has been fixed. We also rebuilt the wiki approval system — submissions now go through a proper review dashboard with folder organization, so leaders can manage content without things falling through the cracks. [B] Comments work The reply bug has been squashed. You can comment, reply, and interact with posts the way you'd expect. We hear you on community creation. Right now, community creation is limited to the team while we're in beta. This is intentional — we want to make sure moderation tools and safety systems are solid before opening the floodgates. But we've replaced the old error screen with a proper welcome page that shows you every active community and lets you jump right in. More Lily Pads are coming as we grow. [B]Admin responsiveness. This is on us. We've implemented push notifications across the app so you'll actually know when someone responds to you — likes, comments, follows, messages, all of it. We've also built out Studio Gibbet as a dedicated channel for platform-wide communication. We're here, and we're going to be faster. (If push notifications still don't work let us know) [B]The coin system Gibbet's coin system Is new. There are two ways you can earn coins. By being active and checking and by watching ads. You do not have to watch ads but it's an option if you want coins. We will try to make the ad pop ups less annoying in the future. And we will work on making the coin system better. As mentioned we have a shop now and you can also donate to users via their post as you like. [B]The APK situation Yes, you still download Gibbet from our website and yes, Android will show a warning. That's standard for any app installed outside the Play Store — it's not a security issue. We're working on getting into the Play Store and will update the community the moment that's live. In the meantime, our website now has clear step-by-step install instructions and a safety explanation so nobody has to wonder if the download is safe. [B]Three languages Gibbet now fully supports English, Spanish, and Russian across every screen in the app. More languages are on the way. We're not going to pretend 1.0.0 was what we wanted it to be. But we are going to keep showing up, keep fixing things, and keep building the platform this community deserves. Changes must be made, and changes will be made. If you haven't tried v1.1.0 yet, grab the update from gibbet.app. If you run into anything, tell us. We're listening. See you in the Lily Pads. — Team Gibbet
